We're here with the famous heart slider card that's a super cute, must-have scrapbook card. There are many variations of it, but in this post I'll be showing you how to make the most basic one so that you're free to improvise on it however you like. Enough talking, let's get started!
What you need:
♥ Bristol board / Paper
♥ Scissors
Step 1
We'll start off with a 22x6cm piece of paper (or bristol board if you want it to be more stiff).
Step 2
Fold it in half and cut 11x1cm strips off from either sides of one half as shown below.
Step 3
Check out the image below. First mark the positions 2cm from either ends of the left half, and 2.5cm each from the top and bottom. Then cut along the red rectangle. You can use a paper cutter for this, but scissors work just as fine!
Step 4
Crease along the white lines as shown in the image.
Step 5
Fold the right half over and stick the glue tabs on. You'll be left with something sort of like a pocket with one end open.
Step 6
Find a pretty heart and break it!
Step 7
Stick one half of the broken heart onto the end of the slit at the open side.
Step 8
Get a piece of 11x2.5cm paper.
Step 9
Insert it through the open end as shown below and stick the remaining piece of the broken heart onto it. Make sure you only stick it onto the 11x2.5cm strip and not the pocket thingy.
And we're done!
Awesome ❤️
