Let me start off by saying that I rarely use any kind of skin care products except for a normal face wash and body lotion. Some of the reasons for that are:
I'm lazy
The stuff I want is expensive
I feel like face creams make my skin oily. Yes, I should probably use water-based products but like I said: they are expensive!
Irrational (might even be rational) fear of possibly toxic ingredients
No visible progress
Anyways, owing to the harsh climate these days, I started getting cracked heels. Telling you I was horrified is an understatement. I'm not being vain. But for a girl my age, something like that is a mood-breaker and an insecurity. Yeah, yeah, promote body positivity, I get it. But also promote body care! Body positivity isn't about being fine with everything, including health issues, related to your body and that's a whole other rant that I will not be getting into in this post.
Moving on, my immediate action was to use my moms foot cream; Nature's Secret Aloe Miracle Foot Care Cream. She always spoke so highly of this product but I didn't give it much thought back then since I never had problems with my feet. Prevention is better than cure but we never listen, do we?
So, I prayed for it to work and started using it around 1-2 times a day.
My Exact Symptoms
We all know that the skin at our heals is usually tougher than other areas. Besides, surface cracks are pretty common and you don't actually feel them that much. But my heals we cracked to the point that I could feel my skin was split open and exposing flesh. Okay, that was a bit too graphic. It wasn't super bad and I'm exaggerating a bit just to get the point across. But it hurt slightly, and if I had left it unattended it would have started hurting really bad.
Results and Review
Three days, it took just 3 days for my cracks to close up! I told my mom about it and all she said was 'I told you so' with an eye roll. I'm still unbelievably amazed that I keep telling mom about it every time I see the tube lying around, and now she wants me to shut up about it. So here I am to annoy my readers with this review. I swear this cream is AMAZING. I wish I had taken pictures to show you guys a before and after but oh well I forgot.
